Amazing - such a situation brings me out in cold sweats - even after more than 30 years of driving (and parking)! Do they drive those Gas Guzzlers out there? The numbers are increasing here in Leeds and they are so big they cannot fit in the car parking spaces. I recently got shouted at by a 30 something year old who obviously thought the world owed him everything including a double car parking space. He parked next to me in the doctors car park leaving me an inch to scrape into my seat when I returned. When my door touched his great side bumper he came round to slag me off. Not feeling well I chose on this occasion not to respond in my usual way - Not to defend myself and give as good as I got is unforgivable.
Hi Carol - there are some large 4x4s but generally cars here are for speeding around in and for parking in tight spaces. Scrapes, dents and deformed bumpers are the norm and you would simply have a nervous collapse if you were at all precious about your car. Loud honking horns are a must, though.
